Customer information – Coronavirus update
Following a review of the latest government guidelines there is *no limit on the number of people allowed at Liverpool Register Office ceremonies and approved venues from 21st June, providing social distancing can be maintained. Guidelines say we must allow people to socially distance by 2 metres if they wish to. This may affect the number of guests you can invite. If your ceremony is taking place at an approved venue, the venue will advise on the number of guests you may have based on room capacity. Contact your chosen venue for advice.
*If you have booked an Enhanced Ceremony in one of the Register Office rooms at St George’s Hall the maximum number of attendees (guests plus couple) is 32 in the Grand Jury Room and 26 in the Sefton Room. Capacity has been calculated using the 1m plus face covering social distancing requirement. If you do not wish your guests to wear face coverings the numbers will reduce to 15 in the Grand Jury Room and 13 in the Sefton Room to maintain the 2m social distancing. Contact the Register Office if any of your party wish to socially distance for 2m so we can advise on the revised number of guests allowed. Face coverings must be worn by all adults, unless exempt, in all areas inside St George’s Hall. We strongly recommend that all people attending the ceremony take a lateral flow test.
Do not attend a wedding if you have Covid-19 or have been in contact with anyone who has it. This information is for guidance only and may change at any time. See GOV.UK for more information on the roadmap to remove national restrictions.
