Customer information – Coronavirus update
We are in the process of contacting couples whose ceremony was postponed and have not yet set a new date. We are now also taking provisional bookings for new ceremonies.
If your ceremony is taking place at Liverpool Register Office or an approved venue, please read the guidance for couples on the restrictions in place during Covid-19.
All civil weddings and civil partnerships must be attended by a Superintendent Registrar and a Registrar in the district where the ceremony will take place. If your ceremony is at an approved venue in Liverpool or Liverpool Register Office, this will be the district of Liverpool.
Please note that your provisional booking simply retains a time slot for a Registrar to attend your ceremony. Your marriage or civil partnership cannot take place until your notices have been given.
How to book
Our provisional booking service allows you to check our availability and reserve a time slot for the Superintendent Registrar and Registrar to conduct your ceremony, up to two years in advance.
When you select a date all available time slots will show for your chosen venue. If your preferred time is not free you can check other available dates before making your payment.
Booking fees
A provisional booking reservation fee of £30 is payable at the time of booking.
You can pay by credit or debit card. Please note that this fee is non-refundable and it does not form part of the ceremony fee.
Confirmation of bookings
Once you have submitted your application and paid the relevant fee you will receive an email confirming your requested time slot has been reserved.
