Venues and ceremonies

Approved venues

Home / Venues and ceremonies / Approved venues

Liverpool is home to a range of venues where you can officially get married or form a civil partnership.  These include hotels, stately homes, football grounds and historic buildings that have been licensed by the local authority.  These locations are known as approved venues.

To marry or form a civil partnership at one of our approved venues, you will still need to give notice and book and pay for a registrar to conduct your ceremony.

Please remember that it is only the attendance of registrars from Liverpool Register Office that ensures your marriage or civil partnership is legally recognised.
