Ceremonies during Covid-19 restrictions

Home / Venues and ceremonies / Ceremonies during Covid-19 restrictions

In order to protect all parties, guests and staff there will be a number of restrictions in place on your ceremony day to comply with government guidelines.

Government guidelines will state how many attendees are allowed on the date of your ceremony. However, these numbers remain subject to venue/room capacity, so the numbers allowed may be less than those set out by government due to room size. Two metre social distancing will be observed for the entire ceremony party (with the exception of the couple) until the government tell us that social distancing is no longer necessary.

From 8th August 2020 face coverings must be worn by everyone entering the ceremony room aged 11 or over, with the exception of the couple and anyone who is exempt. Anyone else not wearing a face covering will be refused entry. This applies to all ceremonies at St George’s Hall and at approved venues.
