Ceremonies during Covid-19 restrictions

Home / Venues and ceremonies / Ceremonies during Covid-19 restrictions

The government’s current advice remains that everyone should take a cautious approach whilst Covid cases remain high with infections rising.

From 19th July we will increase our room capacity to 40 guests in the Sefton and Grand Jury rooms at Liverpool Register Office. If you or any of your party wish to continue to socially distance, please contact the Register Office so we can advise on the revised numbers of guests.

The legal requirement to wear a face covering will be lifted, but guests who are able to wear a mask are advised to do so for added protection. We strongly recommend that all people attending the ceremony take a lateral flow test.

Do not attend a ceremony if you have Covid-19 or have been in contact with anyone who has it. This information is for guidance only and may change at any time. See GOV.UK for the latest government guidance.
